Prestigious Apple Group joins DGCOS

Apple Home Improvements Group, one of the top 10 retailers of conservatories, windows, doors and solar energy in the UK, has joined the Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS). The Bournemouth-based installation company, which has been trading for 15 years, has seven branches across the south, from Salisbury to Exeter. The Group, which includes Apple Panels, Larkin Windows and Apple Solar, completes more than 400 retail contracts a month. All of Apple’s installations are covered under the DGCOS scheme.

“Customer satisfaction is a priority with Apple – we offer a comprehensive guarantee and a price match promise – so joining DGCOS was a logical step,” explains Bill Mackay, Managing Director of Apple Panels. “Having worked in the past with David Herman, author of last May’s independent Consumer Protection Report, which compared the level of consumer protection offered by different industry organisations, we applied for membership of the scheme with the best rating. But even a successful and well established company like Apple isn’t automatically accepted for membership of DGCOS - which is an excellent reason for applying! I never doubted we would be accepted as we meet all DGCOS’s stringent requirements. Now our membership means we can assure our customers’ peace of mind.”

“Apple is one of a number of larger regional installers that’s joined DGCOS in the last few months,” says Tony Pickup, founder of DGCOS, “and one with a strong focus on sales and reputation for customer service. We’re delighted to welcome Apple to the scheme.”
