Brackenwood Windows raises £3,100 for charity

12 runners from Brackenwood Windows Ltd raised £3,100 in the Basingstoke Half Marathon to help fund a heart specialist and lung centre for London’s Royal Brompton and Harefield hospital. Brackenwood’s team joined 1300 other runners and Managing Director David Medcraft led them from the front, completing the course in 1hr 45 minutes, making him the fastest team-member with an average 8-minute mile!

With a customer base across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey, the Brackenwood Windows installs windows, doors and conservatories and is a member of the Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (www.dgcos.org.uk), which provides the most comprehensive consumer protection available and is fronted by TV presenter and consumer champion Nick Ross.

Brackenwood’s David Medcraft says “We have been fundraising for six years for this charity because several staff have experienced their care. Gill Wheatland’s brother David Botting had a heart transplant in January 2005 and cheered home every Brackenwood runner.” David Botting added “This £3,100 will save the lives of others you will never know.”
