Midland Window Mart returns to Deceuninck

Leicestershire’s Midland Window Mart Ltd has switched systems house, returning to Deceuninck after a few years with a different supplier. Midland Window Mart is now manufacturing the Deceuninck 2800 decorative series, which is proving a hit with both trade and retail customers.

Midland Window Mart made the switch to Deceuninck in May, so is now in a position to reflect on how the change went and how it’s affected business. In short, it’s been a complete success, demonstrating what Vince Lord, the company’s MD had realised in the intervening years: “Deceuninck is simply a better fit with our business in terms of the level of product quality and service it offers.”

The Leicestershire company originally returned to Deceuninck because they needed a systems house that manufactured an A rated window. Having taken time to consider all the alternatives it became clear that the decision was simple: Deceuninck reputation, credibility, product quality and team made it the only option.

But it wasn’t a decision the company took likely: as every fabricator knows, changing systems house is an extremely daunting prospect and something that can be fraught with difficulties. But there was no need to worry, as Vince explains: “I was prepared for a very stressful period and I was waiting for a snag to happen – but it just didn’t. The switchover was genuinely seamless with no disruption to manufacture at all. The effort that the Deceuninck team – and our team – put in made all the difference.”

And if the seamless switchover wasn’t enough to prove to the Midland Window Mart team that the right decision had been made, the subsequent increase in sales certainly has been! The company mechanically joints its windows, which gives them a more authentic look. Coupled with the 2800 series’ decorative aesthetics, it’s a combination that’s being readily accepted by both the trade and retail arm of its business.

Midland Window Mart has been manufacturing windows and doors since 1990 and retails under the name Abbey Windows. Serving the Leicestershire area, its reputation is one of quality. And as the upturn in sales demonstrates, since the move back to Deceuninck, that reputation is growing! Proof, if any were needed, that Vince’s belief was right: Deceuninck is a better fit for Midland Window Mart and it has a better business as a result of moving back.
