Trade and domestic fabricator Plaztec Windows recently switched suppliers to become a Deceuninck fabricator. The company has been manufacturing the 2500 chamfered system since February and has just looked back to consider how the first few months of life with Deceuninck has been.
In short, the team at Plaztec are delighted with every aspect. Andrew Jones, Plaztec’s Managing Director, says, “We chose Deceuninck because of their reputation for supplying quality products backed up with a quality service. Our experience with them so far tells us that they thoroughly deserve that reputation. We have never worked with such proactive or professional people.”
Plaztec manufactures around 130 windows a week at their manufacturing unit at Pontardawe in Swansea, so it was crucial that the switchover to Deceuninck ran smoothly to minimise disruption to the busy manufacturing schedule. As a sign of the good things to come, the switchover was seamless. The Plaztec team was understandably relieved and everyone has been very impressed with the quality of the product that’s being fabricated.
But where Deceuninck has really impressed Plaztec has been in the quality of the service. James Robinson from Deceuninck works closely with Plaztec and Andrew is keen to stress how good the relationship they have with him is. But he adds, “James has been a breath of fresh air, but the same can be said of everyone in the Deceuninck team. We’ve been astonished by their efficiency – even down to ringing me in advance to check my requirements for the week’s order! People buy from people. We’d be hard pushed to find a team more helpful than Deceuninck. I’d recommend them to anyone.”
As Andrew’s reasons for choosing Deceuninck show, the systems house’s reputation precedes it. And as Plaztec are finding out, that reputation is well-deserved. If the beginning of this relationship is anything to go by, it looks as if Deceuninck will be adding quality and value to an already high quality business for many years to come.
