Leading trade window and door manufacturer, Warwick Developments, has become the latest fabricator to sign up with Spectus Window Systems, taking its Elite 70 profile which is available in the Spectrum range of over 60 different foils. Warwick Developments manufactures a comprehensive range of products including windows and doors, vertical sliders, bi-fold doors and patio doors, all using the industry leading Spectus profiles.
Warwick Developments is an established, family-run business, which has been manufacturing windows and other PVC-U products for over 25 years. The company supplies products for use in many sectors, from education through to conservation areas. One advantage of partnering with Spectus is that it is able to deliver windows and door profiles with a foil coating rather than a spray finish, enhancing the aesthetics of the product coupled with producing significant savings for Warwick.
Melanie Wardle of Warwick Developments says: “Warwick Developments is known for quality and service, which is something we’ve worked hard to build up over the years. Likewise, Spectus is known for the quality of product it manufactures, which is why we feel the partnership is going to be a great fit.
“The Spectus product portfolio is extensive and the Elite 70 particularly appealed to us as it offers both the bevelled and ovolo design profiles all of which benefit from five chambers and use a knock-in beading system. Other features include a 3mm wall thickness and a post co-extruded flexible gasket which provides extended performance. The fact that it achieves an Window Energy Rating (WER) of band A and a U value of 0.8W/(m².K) will help us, in turn, to offer even better product choice and to continue our first class service for our installers around the UK.
“Spectus has worked hard to make us feel part of the team and has made the transition very easy. Our biggest concern was the factory set up but this was planned internally at Spectus and meticulously carried out with the help of the Spectus technicians. Our team was invited to Macclesfield for a number factory tours and introductions, which was extremely useful, and the Spectus marketing department has already begun work to support us with our marketing and communications. Not only are we buying a product, we feel we are buying a great service too.”
Warwick Developments has already placed its first order with Spectus. Steve Malkin, regional development manager, adds: “The Spectus Elite 70 profile that we have developed, complete with the EcoSpec range which includes thermal inserts, is a fantastic product that we are able to offer at a reasonable price, which we feel both customers and end-users will benefit from. Warwick Developments certainly thought so, and we’re looking forward to a longstanding, mutually beneficial partnership.”
