Prefix sponsors the DGCOS

Prefix Systems is the UK’s leading independent conservatory roof fabricator and has become a sponsor of the DGCOS. They were also in attendance at the recent DGCOS conference hosted by Nick Ross at the RICOH Arena, Coventry.

Through its three regional fabrication facilities, Prefix manufacturers nearly 150 conservatory roofs per week in total and has over 14 years experience in the conservatory sector. For them the DGCOS is something that the industry has needed for many years to help protect both consumer and installation company.

The conservatory market is worth £1bn per annum and there is little to support the consumer and indeed the trade installer. It’s a scheme designed to protect the whole industry and given that a typical conservatory is a big ticket item, often 2.5 times the value of a typical window installation, it’s a welcome addition.

Chris Cooke, director of Prefix Systems was at the event and had time to speak to Nick Ross and Tony Pickup. He was enthused about the conference and the scheme in general and commented: “We buy cars from a showroom, yet we still close conservatory sales on the sofa and often there’s no protection for either party. This scheme is exactly what the industry needs and we’ll be fully supporting it through our network of customers.”

He concludes: “It’s going to add considerable credibility to our market sector and as we move towards more replacement conservatories, it will give the consumer added reassurance and confidence. We’re delighted to be part of this and feel that it could help shape the future of the conservatory sector.”
