We train, you gain

Sika Roof Assured has made it easier than ever for installers to introduce a flat roofing system to their portfolio of home improvement products, thanks to a comprehensive training programme for fitters, surveyors and salespersons.

Introducing a flat roofing system is a relatively easy decision to make with a market of over 5 million homes and less competition than many other home improvement sectors, making good margins easily achievable. However, it’s the training offered and back up support from Sika Roof Assured which is really helping their customers ignite sales.

Standards in the home improvement sector have improved over the last 5 years through media pressure and a concerted effort by various trade bodies and through legislation. Sika Roof Assured offer a 4 day installer course for their flat roofing system which uses a proven Sarnafil membrane to ensure the job is done safely, correctly and sales referrals are maximised.

The 4 day course involves health and safety training, latest building regulations, product applications, fixings and fasteners, finishing trims and finally the issuing of the registered installer cards. These cards represent the high standard of workmanship that is expected for the surveying and installation of Sika Roof Assured products which means improved standards, fewer onsite call backs and more referrals.

The training is a combination of classroom theory and practical workshops at Sika’s training academy in Norwich. Once the registered installer cards have been issued, Sika Roof Assured will also come out on site for first-build assists. This is arguably one of the most comprehensive training programmes for installers, providing reassurance for the installation company looking to move into a new and profitable market sector.
