Spectus Windows has further strengthened its board of directors, with the appointment of David Oliver as sales and marketing director.
David’s background is in communications, and following senior positions at companies including O2 and Carphone Warehouse, he brings almost two decades of b2b experience to Spectus. He has also operated in diverse industry sectors with the common theme of attracting, retaining and growing profitable customers from mature and saturated markets, using both direct and indirect channels, to increase customer lifecycle, company productivity and profitability.
Speaking about his decision to appoint David, Adrian Ah-Chin-Kow, managing director at the Macclesfield-based producer of PVC-u extrusion products says: “With a proven track record for driving organic sales growth, improving product penetration and increasing customer retention, we are confident that David will be a hugely positive influence for both the sales team and for Spectus as a business.

Spectus originally announced its new board of directors in November 2009, and has deliberately taken time to ensure that the crucial role of sales and marketing director was filled with someone dynamic and driven, ensuring the continuation of the company’s recent success.
David intends to take the company onto new heights and into new markets: “My strategy for Spectus’ sales and marketing has a two-channel approach. The first focuses on our fabricator customers, which will be given specific account management and support services, and the second targets the commercial, merchant and installer audiences with a dedicated package.
