Spectus Windows customer and leading Irish distributor, National Profiles, has won two prestigious new accounts - Grogan & Currid and Balfour Windows. The latest client acquisitions cement National Profiles’ position as the number one PVC-U distributor in Ireland.
National Profiles provides Irish fabricators with products from Spectus’ ‘Elite’ portfolio of 63 and 70 mm professional profile systems for the manufacture of a wide range of window and doors. These include casement, tilt and turn, vertical slider and reversible windows, plus French, bi-fold, patio and stable doors.
Paul O’Sullivan, managing director of National Profiles says: “We’ve been working with Spectus for nearly three years and in that time we’ve found them to be a company with an unrivalled mix of quality products and extremely dedicated staff. Spectus is really focused on the needs of its customers, and I definitely think our business has been boosted by the steady stream of ideas and support we receive.
“With the new management team in place, Spectus has evolved yet again, and even in a very difficult climate has managed to enhance its offering even further. We are have been particularly impressed by its new product development and the way it has tightened its distribution schedules. Spectus also provides us with valuable marketing support, and all these things help us to deliver an even better service for our own clients.”
Spectus’ technically-advanced multi-chamber system allows the fabrication of windows capable of achieving a wide spectrum of energy performances, including the sought after ‘A’ Window Energy Rating (WER). Products are also available in a variety of colours that complement National Profiles’ own laminating facility at its new state-of-the-art plant in Mallow, County Cork.
Despite the subdued state of the economy, National Profiles remains the number one PVC distributor in the 32 counties of Ireland and, with Spectus’ help, has recently diversified into related industries.
National Profiles is now the exclusive distributor for an innovative fencing and decking system, a move that has allowed it to extend its workforce with a dedicated business development manager solely for this new product.
Adrian Ah-Chin-Kow, managing director of Spectus Windows, concludes: “The Irish market is only just beginning to show small signs of recovery, but with Spectus’ help, National Profiles is confidently bucking the trend set by other systems companies that have cut back their UK and Ireland operations. Instead it is focusing on growing its business and strengthening its existing customer base, ensuring it maintains its leading position within the Irish PVC-U industry.”
