Insight Data scoops Business of the Year Award

Window industry data providers Insight Data scooped first prize in the annual Business Awards held by Somerset Enterprise Agency on 3rd October.

The 2009 Siân Lloyd-Jones Business Awards were presented by Jenny Trapnell of Barclays Bank; “this year’s entries were of an exceptionally high standard, making judging very difficult.

“Businesses were asked to outline their performance in a number of areas including financial performance, job creation, training and development of staff, innovation, marketing strategy and more. All the winning entrants impressed us not only with their exciting achievements across these areas but with their ambitions to continue their growth in the future.”

Over 150 business leaders attended the Awards which took place alongside the annual Somerset Grand Charity Ball at The Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare. The evening included dinner, dancing, and a charity auction that raised over £5,000 for local charities and good causes.

Insight Data scooped first prize against fierce competition from high-growth companies in the South West. In the last year Insight has invested in a new research centre, launched a dedicated software division and created twelve new jobs. Andrew Scott, Managing Director of Insight Data, was delighted with the award; “Insight has enjoyed 150% year-on-year growth and our team have worked incredibly hard to build the most innovative, forward thinking supplier of data for the window industry. To be awarded Business of the Year 2009 by the Government backed Enterprise Agency is a direct reflection of our passion for growth, innovation and continued investment.”

Insight Data was also recently awarded membership of the Direct Marketing Association, the leading international body for the direct marketing industry.
