Lancashire PVC-U Trade Frames invests in machinery with a new saw centre
Spectus fabricator, Lancashire PVC-U Trade Frames, is continuing to invest in a difficult market, spending over £390,000 on new machinery in the last few months to make production as efficient as possible. A new saw centre was fitted in May doubling capacity. In July, Lancashire PVC-U Trade Frames will be the first fabricator in the UK to install an 8-head Urban Welder supplied by Promac, which will increase speed and quality of production, and virtually eliminates human error.
“It’s no good sticking your head in the sand when the economy gets tough,” says John Anthony, Sales Manager. “It’s important to invest and keep momentum up. If you don’t aim to grow, you’ll start shrinking. We have a great partnership with Spectus and Promac – both have been incredibly supportive and share the same positive attitudes that make us successful when others are struggling.
“We are also in the process of investing £3,000 in an electronic scoreboard for the factory that will show daily and weekly targets. After all, ‘man with no target hit nothing!’”
