Hurst Plastics has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Derek Nicholson as commercial sales manager for Scotland. The move underlines the company’s goal to further develop the business in line with its ambitious growth plans.
Derek, who covers the whole of Scotland, is responsible for developing opportunities for Hurst’s market leading composite door range, as well as the company’s wide portfolio of door panels. His appointment increases the number of senior commercial sales managers employed at Hurst and expands the company’s reach throughout the UK.
Derek, who has many years’ experience, both in the industry and with composite doors, is well equipped to work with local authorities, housing associations and contractors. He has held sales positions with Jeld-Wen and Homesafe Lindman. Derek was heavily involved with the development of the fire door certi-fire scheme whilst at Jeld-Wen. He has also built up a high level of expertise within local authorities and housing associations during his creer.
