Newly appointed as VEKA’s Account Management and Specification Executive, Kirk Maxwell will be spending a lot of time travelling in his new job. Based in Motherwell, Scotland, Kirk will divide his time between his homeland and Ireland, and is responsible for re-affirming the world-renowned VEKA brand of PVCu profiles in these two countries, paying particular attention to the specification market.
“As well as developing the existing and extensive fabricator base, I will also be seeking out new accounts in particular in public sector specification,” comments Kirk. “This will encompass education, healthcare establishment and social housing, an area which in Northern Ireland especially has fantastic potential for growth.”
As a qualified surveying technician, Kirk has spent the past 30 years within the building industry, the past 17 of which were involved in PVCu fenestration and so is perfectly placed to undertake such a challenging and senior position. “VEKA is the strongest brand in the industry and the best known,” he continues. “What impresses most about the company is its proactive and positive approach to consistently improve standards in terms of products and its workforce, in order to seek out new opportunities. I am very much looking forward to bringing the VEKA brand to the forefront of the specification market, and reasserting the company’s presence in Scotland and Ireland.”
“We are delighted to welcome Kirk on board,” comments Jason Bird of VEKA. “We have recognised a great potential in these markets and appointing Kirk is a major step in the company’s determination to assert more influence on the specification procedure in Scotland and Ireland, offering our product range and quality service to this increasingly important market sector.”
