The new compactsealer, from the Bystronic Lenhardt Technology Center has been developed for a growing market. The machine gives insulating glass producers an opportunity to begin automatic sealing on a professional level at affordable prices. In combination with the compactsealer, Bystronic has introduced an extensive customer added value program.
The compactsealer has been meticulously designed to provide smooth production methods and minimum noise disruption. No expense was spared in its design in relation to quality with innovative air cushions and V-belts incorporated that have a proven track record for reliability and durability which will guarantee to provide a contamination-free environment for moving lites.
The new patented dosing system is another important key feature that provides exact dosing elements with all commonly used two-component sealing materials processed, such as polysulfide, polyurethane, or silicon.
The compactsealer’s sealing nozzle has a quick change system incorporated that provides a simple nozzle changing facility if required for any special lites that are processed during production.
The prototype was integrated into the working production facility of an existing Bystronic customer to ensure the compactsealer would provide optimum results.
Volker Braun, Project Director comments, “The fastest way to reach the level of maturity required for series manufacturing is under actual production conditions. Not only were we fortunate to find a partner who has very high expectations regarding their systems and product quality but we were also able to connect the compactsealer to the insulating glass line of one of our competitors. Both of these factors gave us the opportunity to put the machine through its paces.”
He continues, “We implemented a volume-controlled dosing system, which when combined with a trumpet mixer, allows us to offer a very compactly designed product that retains excellent mixing quality.”
The core philosophy behind the product is “simple, fast, reliable and complete” which refers to a completely new customer added value program. Klaus Puschmann Director of Product Management at Lenhardt explains:
“With our added value program, we give customers the assurance of total support from quotation through to after-sales care and support. We guarantee we will deliver the system without delay, integrate it as quickly as possible into production and configure the machine reliably for long-term operation. We also guarantee absolute price transparency, as we offer the compactsealer at one uniform fixed price worldwide.”
