You may recognize the name but the company is new – Dave Watts, formerly Technical Manager at a leading systems supplier - has finally realized a life-long ambition and set up his own company, Vintage Windows. The company began trading in March from its base in Derby and is now up and running fabricating Spectus’ Elite 70 system.
With Dave’s expertise in the windows industry, potential suppliers were closely vetted for their ability to meet the new company’s needs. However, after a rigorous selection process to find a systems house that could meet all his exacting requirements for technical performance, good looks and reliable supply, Dave decided to work with Spectus.
“I selected the Spectus Elite 70 system because of the benefits associated with an 70mm integrated ovolo and beveled system – which will enable us to create a variety of windows without having to hold a huge amount of stock. The other reason for choosing Spectus is the help it offers in terms of marketing and business support, which will be vital as a new company. Also I know the quality of help that will be available on the technical side as Craig Brown, an ex-colleague of mine, has recently joined Spectus as Technical Sales Manager!”
And the origins of the Vintage name? “I chose Vintage because I wanted the brand to reflect the experience I have in the industry – over 25 years!”
