An excellent showing from WHS Halo customers at the G06 awards last Friday (September 15th) saw three leading businesses emerging triumphant in some of the most keenly fought categories. In these, the third awards since their inception, WHS Halo customers were crowned Fabricator of the Year and Installer of the Year; and won the Training & Development Award.
The winning companies were:
- Masterframe (Witham) – Fabricator of the Year
- Warmseal Windows (Newcastle) – Installer of the Year; and
- Lister Trade Frames (Stoke on Trent) – Training & Development Award
This year's success follows a bumper number of wins by WHS Halo customers last year; and another treble at the inaugural G04 event. It was also something of a case of déjà vu; as all three businesses were big winners at G05 too. On that occasion, Warmseal scooped both Installer (again), and Health & Safety Initiative, of the Year; while Masterframe bagged the Customer Care award and Energy Efficiency Initiative of the Year. The Training & Development Award presented to Lister Trade Frames also completed a double for the company, having collected the Fabricator of the Year Award at G05.
Top comedian Alistair McGowan – from BBC TV’s Big Impression – took on the role of MC for the evening at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel; and presented winners with their trophies to the applause from more than 700 luminaries from the glazing industry and their guests.
Sam Kennedy, WHS Halo’s Consumer Division Sales & Marketing Director, said of the award hat-trick: “The G Awards have quickly established themselves as a credible means of recognising the talent and quality that exists within our industry. Once again we were delighted to support the awards as a main sponsor, an involvement made even more delightful now that our customers have also been shown to be at the forefront of professionalism in the industry. To see our customers win in three of the categories was a great result – especially when you consider that a number of categories were not relevant."
