EJ Cocker, the sealed unit specialists behind Slenderline Glass, are celebrating an amazing 35-year partnership with supplier Hodgson Sealants, one of the UK’s largest specialist sealant manufacturers.
Joining forces back in the mid-1980s, the two firms have almost 90 years of combined experience and expertise. Whether it’s for their range of residential and commercial IGUs or their renowned Slenderline slimline heritage units, Hodgson supplies the Kent-based firm with a full range of silicones, sealing tapes and putty.
In addition to supplying sealant, the team at Hodgson also provides technical support, helping EJ Cocker to shape and develop their glazing methods. The most recent example is supporting group company Slenderline Glass with their move to Hodgson’s Heritage Putty. Their shared expertise ensures that the right materials and the correct methods are being used whether sealed units are glazed in the factory or by joiners and builders on-site.
“We are absolutely delighted to celebrate this special anniversary with the great team at Hodgson Sealants,” comments Andy Cocker, Director at EJ Cocker. “Ever since we first began manufacturing our own sealed units, we’ve always used Hodgson Sealants. Whilst the product has changed with advancing technology, 35 years on, that shared commitment to delivering exceptional quality still remains.
“At such a pivotal time in glazing – especially in the heritage sector with the emphasis on best practice and glazing techniques, their technical support and expertise have been simply invaluable. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together so far, and we look forward to more success in the coming years.”
Charles Hodgson, Managing Director of Hodgson Sealants adds: “We’re really pleased to join Andy, Simon and the EJ Cocker team in celebrating a successful 35-year partnership. As both family-run businesses with decades spent in the industry, we’ve certainly seen it all and have watched the glazing sector develop first-hand.
“We’ve been working closely with EJ Cocker and Slenderline Glass to provide them with solutions, which are fully compatible, offer the best possible performance and give complete peace of mind to their customers. Their commitment to a quality product and a quality service makes them a great partner for us, and we look forward to the next chapter of our successful partnership together.”
