Richard Lee enhances Polyframe customer journey in pivotal new role

Richard Lee, PVCu category director.

As Polyframe approaches the end of its busiest year in history, the business is looking forward to an outstanding 2019 with the appointment of Richard Lee into the newly created role of PVCu category director.

Polyframe – a leading supplier of branded PVCu products – is now implementing a string of important developments to enhance the customer experience and make the business even easier to work with. The appointment of Richard, who was formerly managing director at Polyframe’s Halifax site, has bolstered the talented leadership team and heralds the beginning of an exciting new strategy for the business.

In his new role, Richard will steer a strategic plan to achieve greater consistencies across the whole PVCu division and help customers achieve sustained growth. Utilising the size and scope of parent company Customade Group to drive the highest standards of product quality and service, Richard is working across four dedicated PVCu production sites in Halifax, Livingston, Norwich and Stonehouse.

Richard is based at Polyframe’s 145,000 square foot production site in Halifax and brings more than 35 years of PVCu industry experience to the position. He will spearhead a number of new developments across all processes which, along with an industry-leading product mix, includes quoting, ordering, delivery and after sales care. This will ensure that the business provides the very best experience for its customers at every stage.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I love this industry and I’m very excited to be taking up this terrific new role. It means I have the opportunity to make a real difference to our customers at every stage of their journey with us. Our goal is to make their experience of working with Polyframe as seamless as possible and our new strategy is all about continually improving to help them successfully grow their PVCu business with the right partner behind them. With a complete product offering that’s second to none and more developments in the pipeline, we’re ready for a very bright 2019. I can’t wait to get started!”

Polyframe has recently increased the headcount of fabricators at its two largest sites in Halifax and Norwich by 25% to satisfy increased demand and maintain its position as the UK’s leading fabricator of multi-system PVCu windows, doors and conservatories. The business has also made significant investments in infrastructure and equipment to further align all four production sites and enable them to deliver consistently high levels of quality and service.

David Leng, group chief executive at Customade Group, added: “Richard is an industry stalwart and he has a wealth of experience in PVCu. His drive, passion and expertise will add significant value to the business, both in terms of the quality and consistency we deliver to our customers and also in our ambition to improve all our processes in line with world class techniques.”

With Richard taking on new challenges, Phil Gray has become the new managing director of Polyframe Halifax. Phil, who has many years’ experience in the industry and joins Polyframe from the Epwin Group, is also based in Halifax.

These new developments, along with offering a choice of five market-leading profiles from REHAU, VEKA, Halo, Duraflex and Eurocell, show that Polyframe is dedicated to helping all customers to make the most of their PVCu business. With multiple profiles from one supplier, unrivalled marketing support and dedicated account managers, installers can rapidly expand their product ranges and achieve sustainable growth.
