Epwin expands sales team with two new appointments

Regional Sales Managers John Barry and Mick Thompson

Fenestration powerhouse Epwin is bolstering its sales team with the appointment of two respected industry veterans.

Boasting more than fifty years of industry experience between them, John Barry and Mick Thompson strengthen the Epwin sales force as a crucial time for the business, as it looks to significantly expand its activities in the years ahead.

In particular, their focus will be growing two of Epwin’s constituent businesses, market-leading PVC-U fabricator Sierra, and respected composite door specialists Safedoors.

Mick will cover the Midlands and the South East, while John’s patch will encompass Scotland and the North of England. Combined with Epwin’s existing sales personnel, this gives the group full coverage of mainland of Britain.

The pair will report directly to Epwin Sales Director Paul Tranter, who comments:
“A combination of best-in-class products and outstanding customer service have helped Safedoors and Sierra establish themselves as leading businesses in their sectors.

“It’s exactly that sort of comprehensive offering that installers are increasingly looking for in a tightening market – and I’m extremely confident that Mick and John will excel at communicating the benefits of working with Epwin to potential customers across the UK.”

Epwin Group

Founded in 1976, the Epwin Group has grown and developed both organically and by acquisition over the last 39 years. It now employs over 2000 people with approximately 1.2 million sq.ft of production and warehousing space and has an annual turnover of £265m.

In July 2014 the Epwin Group was listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM market starting a new era in its history.

From its origins as one of the first PVC-U window fabrication businesses in the UK, the Epwin Group has changed significantly to become a stable and substantial player, selling a much broader range of low maintenance building products.

The Group operates from four extrusion and moulding facilities manufacturing both PVC-U window profile extrusions and PVC-UE cellular roofline, cladding and window trim extrusions. In addition, the business produces glass sealed units from two plants, as well as operating a number of fabrication facilities manufacturing PVC windows and doors along with GRP and thermoplastic door sets.

Epwin Group businesses can supply virtually any external plastic building product from our range of roofline, cladding, windows, doors, conservatory roofs, guttering, underground and soil systems, cavity closers and curtain walling.
