Astraseal has become the first fabricator in England to manufacture fire doors using FireFrame, the new, high-performance 60-minute fire door frame from Winkhaus.
The new FireFrame provides a superior solution compared to its traditional hardwood and uPVC counterparts. The new frame, which offers stylish slim internal sightlines, will be paired with both Astraseal’s uPVC door set from REHAU and their composite door slab from Distinction.
“For us, it was a no-brainer to switch to the Winkhaus FireFrame,” comments Zac Nedimovic, Astraseal’s Sales and Marketing Manager. “The FireFrame is a smart, high-performance solution which for us is easier to fabricate and is more cost-effective, allowing us to reduce our lead times, deliver competitive prices and ensure the fast turnaround our customers come to expect.”
“It’s no secret with the tragedy of Grenfell Tower that everyone is questioning their fire rated products and looking for something that they can assure their customers is of first-class quality. Upgrading to Winkhaus’s FireFrame strengthens our FD60 offering and ensures our door range not only complies with FIRAS assessment for both FD30 and FD60 but also with Approved Document Q and PAS24.”
Astraseal’s fire door range has been designed to provide an optimal solution for both residential and commercial applications. Manufactured for either internal or external use, both FD30 and FD60 products have found success in social housing and new-build projects as well as for fire escape routes and connecting entrances.
In addition to outstanding fire resistance, Astraseal’s fire door options deliver outstanding thermal efficiency and security with premium hardware and locking systems also from Winkhaus.
Astraseal has built a strong reputation for high-quality aluminium and uPVC products including windows, doors and conservatories. For over 30-years, operating from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, Astraseal’s ethos has been to offer exceptional products with customer service that goes above and beyond.
