HWL Trade Frames, the Leeds-based fabricator of Residence 9, is offering all windows in the Residence Collection, including R7, with a butt-jointed finish as standard.
The company, which has been fabricating the windows since the launch of the Collection over five years ago, has noticed that very few manufacturers are offering the butt-jointed finish on the full range, instead opting for a welded appearance, mostly on the Residence 7 window.
Graham Howatson, director at HWL Trade Frames, said, “When investing in windows such as the Residence Collection we have found that homeowners tend to have done their research and want the ‘perfect’ finish. The majority of the time this is a butt-jointed appearance. This is why we offer it as standard on the full range.”
HWL is also the only company in the industry offering the Residence Collection of windows butt-jointed, but with glass loose, meaning customers get the ease of fitting a PVC window, with the look of a traditional timber window.
Graham Howatson, director at HWL Trade Frames, said, “Some installers have stayed clear of the Residence Collection in the past due to the issues that can be faced with factory glass bonded windows. Our new unglazed offering though offers installers, and homeowners, the visual appearance and benefits of traditional R9 windows, with a number of additional advantages.”
