Aperture Solutions, the ODL Europe brand responsible for exclusively selling Capstone Doors in the UK and parts of Europe, has achieved milestones of quality to further enhance the growing reputation of the brand.
The company has always aimed to surpass requirements for SBD (Secured By Design) and ongoing investment in technology, materials and manufacturing processes has meant the business is now in an ideal position to serve the market with doors that include top security as well as design and aesthetics that Capstone slabs are renowned for.
Aperture Solutions, with Capstone, have created a wide range composite doors that have achieved PAS 24: 2016, the flagship standard in the industry, the doors have also been tested and approved to BS6375 for air and water tightness as part of this process when tested as a door-set.
As Steve Kendall, Aperture Solutions Director of Sales comments, “To enable us to achieve PAS24: 2016, we designed our door slabs to have an LVL insert placed within the door making penetration much less likely. The LVL reinforcing is encapsulated in a PU foam core material, which also provides excellent insulation reducing energy costs for the homeowner. We are extremely proud of the quality we have achieved and it reflects the continual drive for innovation and quality across our composite door range.”
Aperture Solutions are stocking the full range of PAS24:2016 compliant doors available for immediate delivery, which means that fabricators and installers can specify with confidence, especially as it is increasingly a requirement for many public sector and corporate contracts in the UK.
As well as the enhanced security and build features of the regular composite doors, Capstone’s Composite door edges are manufactured from 100% PVC. If the PVC composite edges are machined correctly no edge banding or aluminium capping needs to be used to create a finished edge.
As well as the regular composite door being certified to PAS 24: 2016, Capstone also offer a Pas24 – 2016, FD30 fire tested Composite door slab.
The FD30 fire door test was undertaken in January 2017 at Exova, High Wycombe, formally BM Trada.
The doors were tested in Winkhaus Eco frame with AV2 multipoint locking systems. The tests standards dictated that a Solid door and a Half-Glazed door were to be tested to cover a range of door options. Both door-sets Passed the 30-minute test with further testing taking place in April 2017.
Mark Towers, ODL Europe’s Managing Director concludes “We would highly recommend any fabricators or installers attending this May’s FIT show to come and take a look at our Aperture Solutions doors first hand. Aside from the build, from an aesthetic point of view, we have one of the most accurate and authentic woodgrain definitions available on the market today and it will be a good opportunity to see our doors and discuss how we can support your sales and business development goals.”
ODL Europe and Aperture Solutions will be exhibiting on Stand D35 at the FIT Show. They will also be displaying their Blink Blinds, fully enclosed blind systems, flagship TriSYS glazing cassettes and Spotlights our contemporary collection of glazing cassette frames.
