Liverpool based ODL Europe have revealed further plans for expansion and business development into 2017, with the successful launch of their composite doors division, Aperture Solutions, in December and several further initiatives in the pipeline.
The company has also recently announced a growing team in the form of three new sales people. For the built-in blinds business, Garry Wilson and John Evans join the company, with the addition of Steve Kendall for the Aperture Solution Door products.
“We’ve always been committed to staying ahead of customer demand and as the popularity of our products continues to grow, we need more people to take them to market,” says Mark Towers, Managing Director. “Garry, John and Steve bring with them a wealth of industry and technical experience, having worked for some impressive names in the hardware, profile and composite door industry.”
ODL Europe will be exhibiting for the fourth time at the FIT Show in May this year and the company will be showcasing the full breadth of its rapidly growing product portfolio and capabilities at the show, which will be their biggest stand to date.
Within their Bootle based manufacturing facility, the investment continues and builds upon the £500,000 investment the business previously made over the last 12 months. During 2017 there will be the addition of a new injection moulding machine, further increasing their manufacturing capability as they continue planned investment in machinery at the site.
Product development will also be a key focus for the business during 2017, as the company looks to innovate in contemporary door and door component design to meet increasingly design-led consumer tastes, giving their installer and fabricator customers the right tools to increase sales and complete projects quickly. The composite door range has been tested to PAS24 2016 standard, as quality and increased security continues to be a major focus.
Mark Concludes: “ODL has been going from strength to strength and while some companies might be taking a step back from investing in the current political climate, we have always wanted to ensure we stay ahead of customer demand. Our previous investments have paved the way for us to now offer both a very competitive full door solution, as well as developing our enclosed blinds, glazing cassettes, decorative glass and other value added product ranges.”
