Newview Windows & Conservatories has been shortlisted for the Sussex Women in Business Awards 2016, in the category of Medium Business of the Year.
The Sussex Women in Business Awards celebrate the best women in business or the best businesses owned or co-owned by women in the region.
Newview secured a nomination on the back of Director Michele Wietscher’s ambitious and no-nonsense approach to business, which – alongside her business partner Duncan Wietscher – has helped Newview achieve phenomenal performance, growth and market leadership.
Based in Worthing, West Sussex, Newview are a family run firm that over the last ten years has become one of the largest glazing and home improvement companies in the South East.
The company has also pioneered work around soundproofed windows, making Newview a preferred supplier for Heathrow Airport and Network Rail.
In its most recent accounts covering the year to June 2016, turnover rose to £4.2 million – a 41 percent increase on the year before – resulting in a record year of trading for Newview.
In the last year, Newview has also seen staff numbers rise to 45 and a milestone 120,000 windows have been fitted.
This growth can be attributed to the winning of several major contracts during this time with new clients that include Bovis Homes, Network Rail, Heathrow Airport, Crest Nicholson, NHS South, Persimmon Homes and Thames Valley Housing.
Michele comments: “The entire team at Newview has worked incredibly hard over the years to ensure we reach our growth goals and continue to exceed client expectations, and we are delighted our efforts have been recognised.
“It is exciting to be part of the thriving business climate in Sussex and we look forward to celebrating with other inspiring businesses on the night.”
The Sussex Women in Business Awards 2016 will take place on 7th October at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne.
