On the 6/7th October, The Community Housing Cymru (CHC), hosted the annual ‘One Big Housing Conference’ at the famous Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells. CHC are the representative body for housing associations and community mutuals in Wales, which are all not-for profit organisations. The two day conference was hosted by BBC Broadcaster Sian Lloyd and covered a range of topics from ‘Scheme Regeneration’ to ‘The Future of Social Housing’.
The Welsh Housing Market is worth over £1.1 billion and trusted procurement frameworks are leading the way. The Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) (backed by LHC), exhibited at the conference and Neil Barker (Head of WPA Operations), presented a fascinating insight into ‘Innovative Procurement’.
