PVC-U and aluminium trade fabricator, Sternfenster, is now offering the new R7 and R8 flush sash systems from the recently launched Residence Collection, as well as the R9 open out flush door sash, the company has announced.
The Lincoln-based fabricator is a major supplier of Residence 9 windows and doors, which have gained huge popularity thanks to their authentic timber aesthetics. With the new product additions, Sternfenster is helping installers take advantage of more opportunities at the sharp end, as both R7 and R8 have been optimised for easy installation in standard PVC-U retrofit and refurbishment projects - R7 comes with seven chambers, and a profile depth of 75mm, while R8 has eight chambers, and a depth of 85mm.
The new products are only the latest in a string of exciting developments at Sternfenster. Recently, the company launched another flush sash window, StyleLine FS. Based on a system developed by Deceuninck from the popular 2800 decorative series, StyleLine FS is a very price competitive flush sash alternative that is perfectly positioned to help installers make more margin.
“Over the past few months we have added a series of new products to our range, some of which are firmly positioned to help savvy installers increase profits on their jobs, others which will open new cross-selling and upselling opportunities for them,” says Steve Lane, national sales manager. “StyleLine FS is available in 25 colour ways from stock, including the favoured traditional hues. This is a very pretty window with huge saleability, and a cost effective alternative to other flush sash products. It is really gaining momentum with installers, especially as it’s available on shorter lead times.
“What’s more, offering R7 and R8 in addition to StyleLine FS and R9 is about helping our customers keep competitive in an increasingly tight market. With a more diverse product portfolio, our customers are better placed to capitalise on the business that is out there,” added Steve.
Just like R9, the two new systems replicate the looks of a traditional timber casement, but thanks to the thinner profile, and in a similar manner to StyleLine FS, they allow for a more straightforward fitting process, without the need of additional work to create wider cavities in the wall.
Uniquely with Sternfenster, the products will also be available with a choice of mechanical joints and standard welds, or with seamless corner-welds as part of the fabricator’s signature StyleLine range.
“We’re closely observing the market to make sure we invest in the right areas of our business, and support our customers with products and services that are totally relevant to them, and to the direction of the market demand,” concluded Steve.
With the construction of a new, 35,000 sq. ft. aluminium factory set for completion in November, and more space being freed up in the original factory, Sternfenster is planning yet more investments in new products and services on both aluminium and PVC-U over the following months.
