Warmroof technology and much more from Prefix Systems

With the FIT Show now in full swing, Prefix Systems have experienced a considerable footfall on stand 139 in Hall 1, as they celebrate their 20th year in business, with a wealth of new and defining products for the extended living space market.

It’s their biggest ever exhibition stand at 80m2, yet their stand is packed with many new products and an iX250 ‘warm roof’ Orangery takes centre stage. This harnesses an ultraSKY aluminium lantern roof, with the new Opus hardwood cladding to the interior. It’s also glazed with SMARTGLASS Dynamic, powered by SageGlass, a new and now commercially viable switchable glass and a must see for the show.

Visitors to the show are encouraged to look at their WARMroof systems, which like their name suggests, are based on the modern construction standard of ‘warm roof’ construction, which eliminates any risk of mould or condensation that other ‘cold roofs’ suffer from. There is a hybrid version on display with Opus composite frames and fixed triple glazed panels, a true premium extension for any home.

The Prefix stand is all about the extended living space market with five different environments on show, which includes a number of conservatory roof developments. These include a new aluminium roofing solution, which along with an integrated pelmet and modern aluminium gutter shroud, makes for their new URBANroom offering.

Elsewhere on the stand are new developments in the form of aluminium windows and doors, along with the new R7 product, part of The Residence Collection from Window Widgets. There’s also a new Verandah system in antique black, a triple glazed flat Clearview rooflight and a Velux rooflight with a new flashing kit in a WARMroof, at a pitch of just 10 degrees.

Chris Baron and Chris Cooke, co-directors of Prefix Systems commented: ‘The interest in the first day alone has been phenomenal. This has been our most ambitious project yet and to bring all these new product developments to the FIT Show is ample evidence of our ambitions to lead the industry into the extended living space market.’

To discover the future for the extended living space market visit stand 139 in Hall 1 where you can also enter a free raffle, pick up the Prefix Newsletter and to collect a free voucher for a celebratory drink in their 20th year of business. Prefix Systems (UK)

Prefix Systems is the UK’s largest independent fabricator of conservatory roofs with a history that dates back to 1996. Run by Chris Baron and Chris Cooke, the leading Ultraframe fabricator operates from a head office in Clayton-Le-Moors, Lancashire and from two further manufacturing sites in Northamptonshire and Swansea.

Prefix is the only conservatory fabricator in the UK with a number of regional fabrication facilities which provides the necessary expertise for the local market and the added support that goes with it. Prefix was arguably the first fabricator in the UK to provide a wide range of laminated colours which now extends to 10, along with a unique cast iron effect for gutters.

The company also has considerable expertise in portal frames and in the retro-fit market. There is an estimated replacement market of 3million conservatories and with their Retro-fix and Multibeam products developed with Window Widgets, Prefix is set to take a lead in addressing this important market sector.
