Lumi wows the crowds at selfbuild and improve your home exhibition

According to Apeer, the recent Selfbuild and Improve Your Home Exhibition in Belfast was the busiest and most exciting to date, attracting over 18,000 visitors to a new venue at the Titanic Exhibition Centre. The consumer facing show was of particular significance to Apeer as it marked the first official launch of the G-15 Award winning Lumi system in Ireland, and as such the company seized the opportunity to unveil the full range of its cutting edge ‘frameless’ products on its stand.

Apeer’s marketing manager, Linda Tomb, said: “We knew from experience of previous Selfbuild shows, and other exhibitions such as London Grand Designs Live, that we would get a great response, but the reaction we had from trade customers and consumers alike was just fantastic.

“Homeowners in particular loved the frameless windows and we noticed that many came back for a second look,”she continued. “After speaking with our sales staff, who took the time to talk them through the design and features, we discovered that they were also just as impressed by the energy efficiency performance as the aesthetics.

“There was plenty of interest in our Lumi bi-folds as well, with visitors telling us they loved the stylish yet sturdy looks, and also how easy they were to open and close,” added Linda. “The Lumi doors we had on display were also much admired, once again as they combine a modern design with great energy efficiency – just the thing to keep one step ahead of the Jones’ next door!”

As well as using the show to present the full range of ground breaking Lumi windows and doors to thousands of homeowners, Apeer also took the opportunity to introduce potential trade customers to the products and to its dealer network.

“Many of our customers had heard about Lumi windows and doors, so the Exhibition was the perfect place to see them in the flesh and to learn more about our dealer network which is designed to generate pull through demand from consumers and comes with unrivalled levels of support from our in-house technical and sales team,” explained Linda.

After a hugely successful show, Apeer has since signed up for the next Selfbuild and Improve Your Home Exhibition in Dublin from the 9th to 11th of September 2016. In the meantime, final preparations are under way for Apeer’s next ‘show stopping’ stand at the International Centre, Telford for the FIT Show in April, where the full range of Lumi products will be drawing the crowds on Stand 208, Hall 2.
