The ‘product that truly re-invents the window’

See it at the fit show, apeer, stand 208

This FIT Show Apeer will have the opportunity to talk to the professional window community for the first time about its Award-Winning Lumi window system, which was described by the G Awards judges as ‘A product that truly re-invents the window’ when they voted it ‘New Product of the Year’ recently.

Lumi is a complete range of customisable, matching frameless windows and bi-folding, patio and residential doors. The triple glazed units bonded to an internal GRP subframe give tremendous strength and the uninterrupted, edge-to-edge glazing looks amazing, especially on a wide span of bi-folding doors.

The product has already received widespread acclaim from homeowners and architects through several outings at events such as Grand Designs. In fact several installations have been carried out for customers that immediately took to the striking appearance and performance of Lumi. The FIT Show provides installers throughout the UK with the opportunity to consider the potential for customers in their areas.

Lumi is beautiful but for installers, it is practical too. Lumi windows may be re-glazed on site if required and in a practical demonstration visitors to the stand will be invited to carry out the task themselves. Other Lumi styles will include two doors, a 5-leaf bi-fold in addition to a large Lumi casement designed to show the product at its best.

Apeer has been manufacturing composite doors for more than 12 years now, becoming a pioneer in the sector in the process. New at The FIT Show will be the EsiFit slab in two styles for larger fabricators to consider as a genuine alternative, together with four Apeer70 doorsets.

“This April will be the first opportunity for us to show Lumi to the UK window trade and that is very exciting for us,” said Asa McGillian, Managing Director of Apeer and the inventor of the Lumi window. “We have been looking forward to showing Lumi to a wider audience of window and door professionals who can consider the product for their own areas. We will learn a lot from this process,” he added.
