Stevenswood gives more support to customers

Stevenswood’s appointment of Sarah Starkey as Sales Development Director has strengthened its management team, reinforcing ambitious growth plans that have already seen the Scottish-based fabricator and trade supplier move into a spacious new HQ and open four new Local Trade Centres in the last 12 months.

The new Stevenswood HQ, opened on 4 July 2015, occupies a five-acre site with the factory, showroom and offices in the 55,000 sq ft building. The HQ is complemented by Stevenswood’s growing network of Local Trade Centres. The 2015 openings take the total number of branches to 10. All existing sites have been or will be relocated to bigger premises as part of the plan. Two new Local Trade Centres will open in Spring 2016 for Edinburgh Sighthill and Edinburgh Seafield.

Supporting Local Trade Centres with expert knowledge and back up is vital for the success of the business, a role for which Sarah is ideally suited. She is well-known in the window industry especially for her expertise in value added PVCu products.

Sarah says: “The number of products the Local Trade Centres offer is much bigger than before, which means there’s space to show the products to the best advantage. We want customers to use the showrooms as their own. They can bring in homeowners to see the full range of products and the high level of finish.

“It means homeowners get more involved in the technical aspects of products. And that’s where my skills come in. I’ve been making sure everyone’s knowledge is up to speed on value added products. We have four choices of bi-fold door, vertical sliders and composite doors. I’m also on hand to deal with technical queries from trade centre team members and customers. These are exciting times and I’m very happy to be part of the future at Stevenswood.”
