“The architects we have introduced to the Imago Lift & Slide Door have all been very impressed with the slim sections,” says Jamie Parmley at Westgate Joinery.
The environmentally-conscious joinery manufacturer recently signed up to the Imago Points network and their first installation has gone without a hitch.
“We installed our first Imago Lift & Slide Door in London last month,” continues Jamie. “It’s a smaller version of the door leading out onto a balcony. The projects’ architect asked us to suggest designs for wooden sliding doors. We put forward Imago and they loved it.”
Westgate Joinery specialises in using Accoya®, the sustainable wood modified by Accsys technologies. Accoya was used for its first Imago project.
“We believe the combination of Italian company AGB Hardware’s Imago design with the use of Accoya makes for a beautiful, efficient and sustainable door.”
Accoya is a popular choice with architects and specifiers for wooden window and door sets. It has naturally low thermal conductivity which, when paired with AGB’s clever Uni-V Central Point, will offer a super energy efficient door.
Westgate Joinery’s manufacturing methods are highly sustainable too. They source their timber from well-managed forests, have invested in equipment which uses less electricity and have a bio-mass heating system which uses the sawdust and chippings from its manufacturing processes to heat its factory.
