Just as exhibitors have clamoured to book stands for the 2016 FiT Show, which takes place in April at The International Centre Telford, then so too are people rushing to book their places at the Gala Dinner. With an enlarged capacity of 890 places, just 220 seats – that’s 22 tables – remain, with more than 10 months to go until the big occasion.
The FIT Show Gala Dinner has become a social highlight of the industry with exhibitors and visitors taking advantage of their presence at the industry’s commercial focal point to gather and relax in style. With dozens of tables booked even before the event appeared on The FIT Show website, just 22 tables remain early in July, with proximity to the stage arranged on a first-come-first-served basis for the first time.
Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, fine food and wines and star entertainment which remains a closely guarded secret for 2016. And following the presentation of £10,000 worth of prize money to the winners of the Master Fitter Challenge, guests can party into the early hours with some fun features and dancing.
“In the window and door business advising people to ‘Book now or lose the deal’ seems like sales patter,” said The FIT Show’s Matthew Glover. “But Gala Dinner places have been selling even faster than exhibition stands. If you want to be there you really should get in touch now or you may face takeaway pizza as an alternative,” he laughed.
