Fabricator Prefix Systems Celebrates 10 Years!

Conservatory roof fabricator Prefix Systems, based in Lancashire are celebrating their 10 year anniversary. The company, who are opening their second site this summer, puts its success in a specialist marketplace down to its policy to value customers and consistently provide them with the best possible products and service to keep customers returning year after year.

Prefix Systems take pride in providing comprehensive guidance at every stage of the ordering process, from initial enquiries to checking customers’ designs and advising them throughout the installation process and even once the project is complete. The opening of the new Prefix site in Northampton will allow the company to provide an even more flexible and superior level of service.

Chris Cooke, Managing Director at Prefix Systems explains: “We are very proud to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the forthcoming opening of our new site. The second site means we can offer a 'real' national supply of conservatory roofs now manufactured in both, Lancashire and Nothamptonshire. We have established an impressive reputation over the years which is largely due to the care we take to ensure our customers always receive top quality products and service – it is because of this we have retained many customers from our early years. Although 2006 has been a difficult year for the industry as a whole, at Prefix we are actually experiencing growth. We believe this is because our customers are confident in the support and products they receive from us and they therefore find it easier to convert sales with homeowners.”

As testament to the exemplary customer support and design advice that Prefix Systems offer, several of their customers are regular winners at the prestigious Glassex Conservatory Design Competition sponsored by Ultraframe. Prefix exclusively uses Ultraframe products which are BBA accredited. The company also has BBA accreditation in its own right for the fabrication process.

Chris Cooke concluded: “Since we set up Prefix Systems in 1996 we have always used Ultraframe conservatory roofing systems because we feel that they offer the highest quality available to the industry. We also know that Ultraframe invest heavily in technical development which is essential to give both us competitive advantage and help our customers sell to homeowners who are increasingly demanding the best standards in thermal efficiency, contemporary designs and technical reassurance.”

Nick Brown, Sales and Marketing Director at Ultraframe, said: “Prefix are a highly reputable and professional company. We have had a very successful partnership with them over the past ten years and are looking forward to building on this relationship in the future. Prefix have a strong and experienced team and continue to do a great job in supporting their customers.”

Prefix Systems is the UK’s largest independent fabricator of conservatory roofs with a history that dates back to 1996. Run by Chris Baron and Chris Cooke, the leading Ultraframe fabricator operates from a head office in Clayton-Le-Moors, Lancashire and from two further manufacturing sites in Northamptonshire and Swansea.

Prefix is the only conservatory fabricator in the UK with a number of regional fabrication facilities which provides the necessary expertise for the local market and the added support that goes with it. Prefix was arguably the first fabricator in the UK to provide a wide range of laminated colours which now extends to 10, along with a unique cast iron effect for gutters.

The company also has considerable expertise in portal frames and in the retro-fit market. There is an estimated replacement market of 3million conservatories and with their Retro-fix and Multibeam products developed with Window Widgets, Prefix is set to take a lead in addressing this important market sector.
