The General Builders database from data experts Insight Data has reached a landmark 13,000 unique email addresses.
The database contains detailed information on over 21,000 small and independent builders installing products such as windows, doors, roofline, conservatories and extensions. Builders can be targeted on a national basis or you can use radius search to find builders local to your area, for example a trade depot or branch.
The database lists builders with under £5m turnover, and Insight Data’s sales manager Zach Ward says this market presents huge opportunities to suppliers in the window industry and shouldn’t be disregarded:
“Our research shows small builders are more active than ever in home improvements, offering consumers an alternative to traditional double glazing firms. In fact, some builders are installing more windows and doors than some window companies so if you’re a supplier of uPVC, aluminium or timber products and you’re not targeting this market you could be missing out.”
Marketing to builders can be a challenge as most don’t advertise themselves or their contact information, preferring to operate on referrals from previous customers. With the Insight Builders database you can get in touch with the thousands of builders currently involved in home improvement projects across the UK, including extensions, renovations and new-builds.
“Builders aren’t loyal to specific companies and systems so they welcome marketing material promoting new products and services,” comments Zach, “and because many builders work from home you can be confident your direct marketing such as mailer cards and letters will be received and read.
“Most builders tend to run their business via their smartphones, so great offers and promotional email campaigns are also a powerful way to promote your products. And with over 13,000 email addresses updated live in real-time on the General Builders database there’s never been a better time to get involved in this lucrative market.”
