Bright future for Vale with 30% colour sales due to Deceuninck

Top 40 fabricator Vale Window Co. says 30% of its sales are now in colour compared with the industry average of 20%. The company is seeing growing demand for Cream and Anthracite Grey in particular. Vale’s Sales Director Rob Clarke comments: “Being able to offer coloured profile from stock makes a massive difference to our installers. It’s not something other companies do. Deceuninck’s new Colour Express range, with coloured profile and ancillaries on a standard lead-time, has really fast-tracked this increase.”

“Last year was the best we’ve had by some way,” continues Rob. “We’re now on course to beat that by 20%! A lot of this has come from colour. We can offer a really wide range of colours to our installer customers, and as homeowners see what they can have on the same lead times, we’re seeing much more experimentation.”

Vale Window Co. manufactures 1,200 frames and 3,500 sealed units a week, making it one of the top 40 fabricators in the UK, according to Windowbase, data supplier for the window industry. Vale supplies the Midlands and North West with a huge variety of products including ‘A’ rated windows (40% of window sales but increasing rapidly), arched frames, PVC panel and composite doors, conservatory roofs and more.

“Our real focus is on customer service,” adds Vale’s Joint Sales Director Damon Gilberthorpe. “We have a dedicated sales team of 16 across our Mansfield and Stockport premises so customers always get through to someone who knows them and their spec, and can deal with their query straight away. Our customers are loyal because we focus on service and helping them grow their business: we’re interested and committed. Deceuninck has the same values which is why we work with them.

“Deceuninck has positioned Vale to grow at a whole new level, but we’re also constantly investing in machinery and new products. With colour, bi-folds, and glass, we supply most of our customers with almost all of the products they sell. It’s all about having the right products at the right price, with quality and service you can rely on.”
