New Consumer Marketing Division for Purplex

Purplex, the window industry marketing specialists, has launched a major new consumer marketing division aimed squarely at helping installers improve their branding and lead generation across both traditional and online channels.

Andrew Scott, managing director of Purplex said; “Consumer marketing has changed dramatically in the last five years, long gone are the days of relying on local papers and Yellow Pages. Today consumers are bombarded with thousands of marketing messages across a bewildering array of new marketing channels. If installers are going to capitalise on the current economic upturn they need some real marketing firepower behind them.”

The new division is headed by Adi Day, a veteran in online marketing, who is joined by brand and design expert Glynn Rowland, consumer PR writer Jennifer Hearn and Sean Scott, who studied advertising and consumer marketing at Coventry Business School.

To coincide with the new division, the company has launched a dedicated installer marketing service, Purplex Advantage. Installers have a dedicated marketing manager backed by a team of 30 marketing professionals, who work with them to develop and implement a marketing strategy.

The service covers every aspect of marketing; showroom design and point-of-sale rebranding, traditional advertising, web and online lead generation, events and shows, and customer referral schemes.

Andrew believes the key to sustainable, profitable growth is an integrated marketing approach. “Naturally we have seen a big shift towards online and social media, after all Facebook has doubled its number of advertisers in the last year to over one million. Purplex has invested considerably in the latest web, digital and mobile marketing technologies, but it is equally important to get the basics right, such as point-of-sale literature, installation boards and drop-cards.”

Purplex Advantage is aimed at ambitious installation companies who want to grow, and the service is offered to a limited number of installers on an exclusive territory basis. The focus is on building strong brands, lead generation and creating real growth and as such Advantage is only available to one company in each area.
