VEKA marks 25 year milestone with Qualplas

Colin Torley presents Geoff Roberts and Andrew Smith with the gift

Long-standing VEKA customer, Qualplas Ltd was presented with a personalised gift of cut glasses and a decanter by Colin Torley recently, to mark the St Helens-based company's 25th anniversary, as well as 25 years of trading with VEKA.

“It's refreshing to see a company that has stood the test of time in this ever-changing industry, and such an occasion should be shouted about” says The VEKA UK Group's Sales and Marketing Director. “The team at Qualplas has worked incredibly hard to get where they are today and we are thrilled to be marking a quarter century partnership with them.”

Qualplas, which was established in 1987, has continued to go from strength to strength since humble beginnings in Peasley Cross. Now occupying a 12,000 sq ft modern building on Knowsley Road, St Helens, Qualplas has grown into one of the largest and longest established VEKA fabricators in the region.

Managing Director Andrew Smith, who was presented with the gift from Colin, alongside Operations Director Geoff Roberts, adds: “Establishing a solid track record over 25 years is no mean feat, and we are delighted with what we as a team have achieved.

“When we established Qualplas our business model was based upon the principle of supplying a well manufactured, quality product that would stand the test of time. We chose to fabricate the VEKA profile, and that strategy paid off for us. Qualplas is today recognised as a business with integrity, which uses the VEKA system to achieve our objectives. Having VEKA as our window system partner always strengthens our pitch.

“Using VEKA products also enabled us to become a member of Network VEKA, which has been a huge benefit to our business. In the beginning, we wanted to offer a ten year guarantee, in which we have total confidence in, to our retail customers. We believed (and still do), that our installers' time was best spent fitting windows, time after time for satisfied customers, and not spent on expensive remedial works. The Network VEKA organisation offers us an edge over other companies because we can provide the peace-of-mind that homeowners want, and much of our new business is generated from recommendation.”

Andrew concludes: “No successful company can exist without firstly a strong relationship with its suppliers, and that's why we are delighted to be partnered with VEKA.”
