Shepley Windows & Conservatories, one of the UK’s leading trade fabricators, has launched a CE Mark support pack for customers. The pack means installers can continue to use their current glass supplier and has everything they need to comply with the new CE Marking law.
CE Marking will be compulsory for most external windows and doors from the 1 July 2013 and Shepley wants to make it simple for customers to comply with the new legislation well before that date.
As the glazing industry counts down to CE Marking, reports in the media have highlighted the concerns for installers that the new legislation will be complicated. Shepley is ready with CE Marks for its full range of REHAU Visage windows and doors including composite doors.
Shepley’s CE Mark support pack gives the installer full CE Mark traceability with every order to pass on to the homeowner. This means all the work is already done for Shepley customers.
“We don’t think that the new CE Mark legislation should mean any change for customers” says Ian Griffiths, sales director, Shepley Windows & Conservatories.
“So with the support of REHAU we created our CE Mark support pack. This makes it easy for installers. Every Shepley product they sell will have a valid CE Mark and they can continue to buy glass units from their existing suppliers.”
