BAU will be the major European platform for the first public showing of SageGlass following SAGE’s acquisition by market leader Saint-Gobain. SAGE will be at the event from Jan 14th to 19th 2013 in Hall C2, stand 514, showcasing the complete product portfolio including a range of new features for the first time in the European market.
SAGE is the world’s leading manufacturer of dynamic glass for windows, skylights and curtain walls and is entering the European market of sustainable building design with 10 years of customer experience behind it in the USA together with the leadership position of Saint-Gobain. SAGE’s recently formed European management, sales and technical team will also be there to discuss the local market opportunities.
SageGlass is electronically tintable dynamic glass for windows, skylights and curtain walls that tints or clears to modulate light, heat gain and glare. Rather than using conventional sun controls such as motorised window shades, blinds and louvres that tend to block sunlight and views, SageGlass provides a solution that enhances occupant comfort and enables unobstructed views of the outdoors. It can change the visible light transmission and solar heat gain in a room at the push of a button or automatically via the SageGlass proprietary control system or a building automation system. The unique patented technology also offers a superior performance in switching time and increases a building’s value.
Founded in 1989, SAGE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, the Paris-based world leader in the habitat and construction markets.
