Prosecure handle chosen by Solidor

Solidor is now offering its customers the option of the new Mila ProSecure handle alongside the Mila ProStyle letter plate on its range of composite doors.

Kitemarked (2 stars), Secured by Design approved and meeting the security requirements of PAS 024 and TS007, the ProSecure handle gives Solidor’s customers all the benefits of a high security solution without any compromises on aesthetics.

Solidor recognised that, with the introduction of the TS007 security standard and growing awareness amongst consumers of the dangers of lock snapping, it needed to add a high security handle to its range and the Mila ProSecure was the obvious choice.

Gareth Mobley, Managing Director of Solidor, said: “We became a launch partner on the ProSecure handle because it has an impressive list of technical security features which provide complete reassurance to our customers but it is also a great looking product which suites perfectly with the letter plate and other items in the ProStyle range.

“It has all the attributes we’ve come to expect from a Mila product in terms of quality and design innovation and of course it comes with the Mila guarantees of next day delivery from stock.”

Solidor has achieved PAS 024 approval on a door fitted with the new handle at the Mila Test Centre and is promoting the handle to its customers with the twin benefits of security and style.

The ProSecure handle has achieved a Two Star Kitemark under the criteria of TS007 which means it can be fitted alongside a One Star cylinder to achieve maximum compliance with the new standard.

It provides the visual deterrent which Mila recommends to deter opportunist burglars with both an integrated cylinder guard which eliminates the need to fit an anti-snap cylinder and an anti-drill rotating disc which shields the cylinder face from attack.

It incorporates an anti grip chamfered backplate to resist attack by mole grips and has steel reinforcement technology concealed inside which means it is strong and stable enough not to require an extra long backplate.

Crucially, it is also etched with the Secured by Design logo which is so reassuringly familiar to consumers.

The addition of the ProSecure handle is the latest evidence of the strengthening of the partnership between Solidor and Mila which began in 2010 with the introduction of the ProStyle range of coordinated door hardware.

Solidor has enjoyed significant sales success with the ProStyle range and feedback from customers has been very positive.

Gareth Mobley added: “Solidor and Mila are strengthening their partnership because we share the same ethos in terms of product quality and customer service and because Mila is consistently delivering the kind of design and innovation which helps us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.

“We saw this demonstrated previously with the ProStyle range and now it has been extended into ProSecure.”
