Emplas unveils simple, ‘no-nonsense’ offer on non-standard foils

Wellingborough-based trade fabricator Emplas has unveiled a rapid turnaround service on non-standard foils with product dispatch available in as little as 15 days.

Available across its product offering, Emplas is able to offer a choice of 19 colours including cream, black, grey or even dual colour finishes, allowing installers to mix and match external and internal finishes.

Mike Crewdson, development director, Emplas, said: “In retail the demand for colour has probably always been there but this hasn’t perhaps been accompanied by the awareness or the affordability, largely because foiling runs have been shorter.

“New flexibility in the Profile 22 foiling service means that shorter runs are more affordable for us and we are able to pass on that benefit to our customers and offer far more competitively priced and flexible service on non-standard foils.”

“We see this as important in supporting Emplas customers in accessing the second-time window and door replacement market more effectively.”

According to market research published by D&G, by 2014, second time window replacements will total some 2.4million units - 1.4 times the market for first time replacements. With the Green Deal predicted to lead to an acceleration of this process, the replacement market is widely tipped as a growth area.

Crewdson added: “The second time replacement market is going to be a growth area but only for those installers with the right tools to access it.

“Foils are going to be critical in supporting that process, we see it time and time again within our own customer base. They deliver a tangible differential and give installers the opportunity to pitch PVC-U products as a more than viable alternative to aluminium or timber.”
