Kenrick raises its profile with new door lock

Bespoke multipoint door lock which has been designed to fit the Profile 22 system

Leading hardware supplier Kenrick has unveiled a bespoke multipoint door lock which has been designed to fit the Profile 22 system.

One of the most secure door locks in its class, the new door lock meets the most rigorous standards for residential door security. It combines exceptional levels of security with very smooth operation and has been designed to allow fabricators to conveniently use one lock for all applications on both front and back doors. Its twin spindle design means that both lever/lever and lever/movable pad unsprung handles can be used with only one lock.

For ease of fitting and smooth operation, the new door lock has been cleverly designed to reduce the cavity and increase the cover on the seal. It also benefits from pre-fitted, durable zinc packers for added fabricator convenience.

Created to provide trouble free service, the new door lock features three sintered steel hook bolts. The bolts are supported by two steel anti lift pins for added security and three roller cams to provide compression and very smooth operation. One roller is placed directly below the gearbox to aid with compression in the centre of the door. However because it is less than 100mm away from the centre hook unit, it does not compromise the strength of the system during PAS 24 testing.

The door lock is extendable, giving the fabricator maximum flexibility. In addition, the gearbox is sprung on both spindles, which eliminates the need to buy more costly sprung handle sets. A one piece keep is available, as are individual hook roller and centre hook latch and roller keeps.

For added security, the new door lock can to be used with Kenrick’s Excalibur RASP security cylinder system. It also meets the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design and has been function tested to in excess of 100,000 cycles.
