Force 8 goes for the triple glaze

VEKA fabricator, Force 8, has launched a new range of triple glazed windows in the VEKA 70mm FS frame system, which can achieve U-values down to 0.6W/{m2-k.

As Dennis Sumner, MD of the Stockport-based manufacturer explains, triple glazing has been around for decades in Scandinavia and Canada, but the doubling costs of energy in the UK means now is the time for the extra pane: “With the cost of energy set to increase year on year, we believe that the market is more than ready for triple glazing.

“The most energy-efficient window available today, triple glazing offers 40% more efficiency than standard 'A' rated double glazing. When you fit Force 8's new range of triple glazing you are installing the very latest product that the glazing industry has to offer.”

Incorporating the latest in glass technology, Force 8's triple glazing uses Planitherm glass and argon filled units to maximise insulation.

Dennis concludes: “There are no compromises to be made in terms of aesthetics or sightlines, weather performance or security, and the cost savings for our triple glazing can be up to 50% less. This is a great advantage to house builders, home owners and developers looking to meet energy efficiency regulations and appreciate the benefits of triple glazing without the hefty price premium.”

Force 8's triple glazed windows are available in hundreds of different styles and in white or woodgrain colours. The company also offers a comprehensive range of composite doors using the VEKA FS frame, which can be fabricated together with side panels or into arched frames, making it possible to accommodate all variations.
