“A resounding success” is how Sonia Punter, sales manager of Insight Data, describes the company’s three days at the recent Eco-Build exhibition.

Insight Data were making their Eco-Build debut and used the opportunity to showcase their full range of prospect databases to some of the UK’s leading building product manufacturers and suppliers. Databases on display included the Construction File, the Architects database and the Renewable Energy Installer database, all of which generated much interest from companies wanting to generate new business in the commercial and renewable markets.

Sonia explains further: “Many of the UK’s biggest manufacturers and suppliers were present at Eco-Build and we had a steady stream of visitors at the Insight stand. Everyone I spoke to was impressed with the accuracy of our prospect data – which is continually updated by our team of in-house researchers – and the easy online access through Salestracker, our online prospect database software.”

Popular at Eco-Build was the Construction File, a database that brings together all the major house-builders, main contractors, developers and major maintenance companies in the UK with 4,900 named senior contacts. The Architects database meanwhile contains 15,000 contacts specialising in key sectors such as housing, education, health, retail, leisure or commercial and further sub-sectors such as social housing or schools.

“These two databases are perfect for suppliers who operate in the commercial market” Sonia explains. “The Construction File enables suppliers to target decision makers at all of the UK’s biggest building firms while the Architects databases enables suppliers to reach architects early at the design stage - making for a very effective two pronged marketing attack.”

Green issues were of course very much the central theme at Eco-Build, and according to Sonia, Insight’s Renewable Energy Installers database went down a storm. “The renewable energy market has exploded over the past year and as a result solar panel manufacturers and distributors are desperate to get in contact with solar installers. The Renewable Energy Installers database provides full contact details of over 4,500 companies who install renewable energy including solar, ground and air heat pumps and biomass and is an immensely powerful prospecting tool.”
