Scarborough’s leading sealed unit manufacturer, AWJ Glass Ltd, has recently invested £7,000 in an Ashton airfloat table to increase the manufacturing productivity of its thermally efficient units. “We are renowned for producing quality units,” says David Rosher, Director, “and we have a reputation for giving our customers the best on the market. That is why we have decided the way forward is to offer warm edge technology and have chosen Edgetech as our preferred supplier of Super Spacer®.”
AWJ Glass Ltd was established ten years ago and in May last year moved to a new factory to manufacture approximately 3,500 units a week. “We are also currently making sealed units using Super Spacer for our sister installation company. There are at least five other glass unit makers in this area,” continues David, “but we are the only ones using warm edge technology – a great way to make us and our customers stand out from the crowd. We also have the Edgetech Humidity Cabinet which actually shows customers and potential customers the heat loss difference between aluminium spacer bars and Edgetech Super Spacer.
“We have invested a great deal of money growing our company at a steady pace,” continues David, “and in the coming year we will be investing in extra new machinery. That’s how confident we are that the next generation warm edge products we now offer, combined with our caring, open and quality focused approach to doing business will help us and our customers grow in a struggling market.”
