DGCOS dispute resolution results in praise for Rutland Windows

Installer Rutland Windows joined DGCOS as a founder member and has already benefitted from the Ombudsman Scheme’s dispute resolution service. “One of our customers consulted DGCOS over a small problem,” explains Rutland’s Managing Director John Hodgkinson, “which we were already looking into. DGCOS advised us to carry on with the resolution we had proposed and, thanks to the support from a trusted independent third party, the complaint was quickly put to bed. In fact, the customer sent us a very nice letter complimenting us on our good service in resolving the problem so quickly.”

John adds “Everyone benefits from the DGCOS scheme - it provides protection for both installers and the homeowner. I was impressed by the fact that it also covers work in progress which is an additional benefit. All our retail contracts are registered with the scheme.

“We already had a high conversion rate as we have always had a good reputation – no hard sell from us,” continues John, “and we don’t ask for a deposit before we start work. But being part of the ‘Nick Ross scheme’ has enhanced that reputation. Most of our customers are homeowners over 40, who associate him with consumer protection.”
